Job Description

We are looking for a Barge Master

  • Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • IWCF
  • Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) certification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar capacity. Some countries may require Registered Barge Master.
  • Must have heavy lift crane operators ticket
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written
  • Computer literate
  • Advance knowledge of fire fighting techniques and emergency planning in relation to Jack-up rig
  • Added advantage if advance knowledge of water survival
  • The incumbent is responsible for carrying out all marine aspects of rig operations per statutory/regulatory guidelines, and leading the marine department to safely run the rig.
  • Having Experience in piling, crane operation, deck machinery, winches, 4-point mooring systems, spud systems, dredging, rock-laying for breakwaters
  • Have a working knowledge of knots, splices, wire line sling handling and general rigging practices as per HSE compliances.
